Terrain: The topography ranges from rolling hills, hidden valleys, and rugged draws, to high mesas and amazing rock outcroppings which jut out of the landscape. Cottonwood Creek runs through the middle of the property where pine, aspen, and willow are scattered along the creek bottoms. The creek may be seasonal at times. There are three hand-dug springs. A wildfire went through the area several years ago. The Laramie Peak Unit of the Medicine Bow National Forest borders the property on the entire north side and about one-half of the west side. From the property there are amazing views of the surrounding countryside. In addition to Laramie Peak, there are many recognizable formations in surrounding the Laramie Mountain Range, including the Haystack Peaks, Albany Peak and Bear Head Mountain. The elevation varies from 6,600 to 6,900 feet above sea level.

Cabin: On the west side of the property an older cabin is situated next to the creek. The cabin may not be habitable, as it has previously been damaged by flooding of the creek and a wildfire. The property offers many sites for a new cabin location.

Location & Access: There are numerous routes leading into the property with the easiest way being traveling south of Glendo on Interstate 25 to Exit 94, then west on Fish Creek Road to Harris Park Road then Cottonwood Park Road to a private easement into the property. The property is about 7/10ths of a mile west of Cottonwood Park Road via an unimproved private access trail shared with a neighboring property, which leads into the east side of the land. Cottonwood Park Road is county-maintained. Traveling this course, it's about 20 miles to a paved road (at the junction of Fish Creek Road and Harris Park Road) and 28 miles to Interstate 25 at Exit 94. Wheatland and Glendo are the closest towns, with each being 90-minute drive.
