The owner has several fields that have been established and planted with newer seeding of alfalfa which is about three years old. Fields sizes are estimated at 50 acres. The property is fenced into four pastures.

Water: An artesian well near the headquarters services the home, corrals and two tanks in the pastures. The well is pumped into a 3000-gallon cistern, then the water gravity flows to the tanks. There are two livestock reservoirs on the property.

Home & Outbuildings: The headquarters is situated on the western side of the ranch next to a pine tree covered ridge. Buildings include a 2016 mobile home with mud room addition and covered porch. The home is a 76' x 15' Champion with three bedrooms and two baths. A 28' x 63' barn with electricity was built in 2016 and has an attached windbreak and can be accessed from the corrals. The plank corrals have sorting pens, a working alley and gates to several different pastures. Next to Skull Creek Road, in the southeastern corner of the ranch, there is another set of corrals between the BLM permit and the deeded land.

Terrain: Situated at an elevation of 4,350, the terrain includes rolling prairie pastures with sage and some pine & cedar tree covered hills. Over the wide expanses of plains, Inyan Kara Mountain and the Black Hills are visible in the distance.

Wildlife & Recreation: Area wildlife includes mule deer, turkey, antelope and an occasional elk. The property offers opportunities for hunting, hiking, camping, riding ATVs, mountain bikes, horseback riding, and backpacking. With direct access to National Grasslands outdoor adventures can be nonstop. Other area recreational destinations include Keyhole State Park, the Black Hills National Forest, Custer State Park, Devils Tower and Mount Rushmore.

Access & Location: The property is 1.5 miles from Osage on Skull Creek Road, which is county maintained.
