Terrain: A beautifully diverse landscape with open meadows, rimrocks, awesome views, rugged Stockade Beaver Creek Canyon and a pristine forest of ponderosa pine, aspen and spruce. Castle Creek Road runs along the west boundary of the property with several wooded building sites near the road with power and phone nearby. Some of the sites also offer views across the canyon. The elevation is in the range of 6,250 feet.

From the west side the property descends into the canyon and the owners are in the process of putting in an ATV trail from the west plateau into the canyon. Once in the canyon due to the rugged terrain and rimrocks it is not possible to drive to the upper tableland on the east side, therefore the owners will provide an easement on an ATV trail which crosses northerly onto neighboring lands and then back to the east side of the property. This trail is across other lands owned by the Sellers, in exchange for this easement the Sellers will reserve an easement through the canyon for access as well.

Wildlife: The area is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, elk, turkey, mountain lion, bobcat, coyote, fox, eagles and hawks.

Utilities: Electricity and telephone lines runs along Castle Creek Road. Buyers may wish to investigate availability and cost of service installation. There currently isn't any cellphone service in this area. The property does not have a water source.

Recreation: The property is situated in a tremendous recreational area. Mallo Camp, which is a county owned recreational facility, lies adjacent to the south side of the land and hundreds of thousands of acres of Black Hills National Forest lands can be accessed right out the back gate. Groomed snowmobile trails and cross-country ski trails begin at Mallo Camp and traverse throughout the Black Hills. Nearby Beaver Creek offers trout fishing and there are numerous camping sites in the area. This is an excellent location from which to enjoy the beauty and recreational amenities of the Black Hills.
