Terrain: The topography is very rugged with colorful rimrock canyons, timbered hillsides, and rocky draws intermingles with high country meadows. Pine and cedar tree along with mountain mahogany bushes cover the hills and provide excellent protection for wildlife including mule deer and turkeys. An occasional elk and whitetail deer also comes through the area. A good ATV trail systems runs through the property. The Black Hills National Forest lays to the east of the property and BLM lands are on the west and south sides. The elevation is in the range of 4,850 to 5,500 feet above sea level.
Home: The home is located in a private end of the road setting with inspiring long-range views across the Black Hills. The home has a loft & walk-out basement. Recreation: The property is situated in a tremendous recreational area. The adjacent public lands provide horseback riding and hiking adventures unending. In addition to the thousands of acres of public land surrounding the property, there are many day trips throughout the Black Hills to National Monuments, State Parks, plus historic and cultural sites. The Black Hills is a year-round outdoor recreational playground.
Access and Location: The ranch is in a wonderfully secluded setting east of Newcastle, Wyoming about 10 miles. It is north of Highway 16 about 2.2 miles on a gravel/rock right-of-way through BLM Land. The owner pays an annual fee to the BLM to maintain the access road across the BLM lands. This fee is subject to change.
