Terrain:
The landscape has a diverse mixture of high plateaus, rocky gulches, hidden parks and over one mile of a mountain stream. Cottonwood Creek is lined with a variety of native bushes, aspen trees and pockets of pine. Kloer Creek connects to Cottonwood Creek in the southwestern corner of the property. The creeks may be seasonal at times. The open plateaus and ravines are covered with remarkable rock formations of granite, sandstone and limestone. The western and most of the northern boundaries adjoin the Laramie Peak Unit of the Medicine Bow National Forest. A wildfire went through the area several years ago. Outstanding views are offered in all directions of the surrounding Laramie Mountains. Where else could you have Laramie Peak in your backyard. Location & Access:
There are numerous routes leading into the property with the easiest route being traveling south of Glendo on Interstate 25 to Exit 94, then west on Fish Creek Road to Harris Park Road then Cottonwood Park Road to the private easement into the property. The property is about 9/10ths of a mile west of Cottonwood Park Road via an unimproved private access trail shared with a neighboring property, which leads into the east side of the land. Cottonwood Park Road is county-maintained. Traveling this route it’s about 20 miles to a paved road (at the junction of Fish Creek Road and Harris Park Road) and 28 miles to Interstate 25. Wheatland and Glendo are the closest towns, with each being 90-minute drive.
