Introduction: Scenic foothills property north of Hulett with a rustic log home situated in woodland setting. A place for year-round living or a Black Hills recreational getaway within a 30-minute drive of Devils Tower National Monument and access to Black Hills National Forest.

Property: The property consists of 55.06 acres. A 10.06-acre portion of the property was subdivided a number of years ago and has a separate tax bill, which allows it to be split from the main property and sold separately by the new owner. The 10-acre parcel does not have any buildings on it.

Home: The one-owner home was custom built in 1999 with rustic square log construction. It has three bedrooms and 2.75 baths. The log and river rock exterior provide a welcoming ambience for this one & one-half story home with a walk-out basement. The open design has approximately 1,761 square feet on the main and upper level. Approximately 616 square feet of the walk-out basement is finished for living space. The tuck under one-car garage has adjacent space for workbench, and an ATV or lawn mower.

Features include Spanish tile and wood flooring, open staircase, loft sitting area with built-in window seat, exposed log interior, French doors, wrap around deck on three sides with two sides being covered, and back-up generator. The large great room has a wood-burning stone fireplace, vaulted ceiling, and tile floor, it is open to the dining area and kitchen. The master bedroom is on the upper level with a full bath and walk-in closet. Two additional bedrooms are on the main level next to another full bath. Lower level rooms include a family room with door to the back yard, tile floor, and cozy wood stove; also has a 3/4 bath and a bonus room that would be great for crafts or office area.

Shop: Just across the meadow from the home is a shop built in 1997 shop. It is 24'x36' with cement floor, electricity, two overhead doors.

Terrain: This rural setting includes meadows near the buildings that lead to steeper hills with pine and bur oak trees. Rock outcroppings line the hillsides. Great wildlife habitat is provided in the oak thickets. The home is nestled in a nice valley area tucked up against a hillside with southern exposure. Deer Creek Road goes the full length of the south side of the property. The property is set at an elevation of 4,100 feet above sea level.

Water: A water well reported to be 97 feet deep supplies water for the property. The well pumps into a 1,000 gallon cistern for storage.
