Miller Creek Retreat
Sundance, Wyoming
237 acres - SOLD

Property: The property consists of 237.22 acres, which has been surveyed.

Terrain: Spectacular scenery from the pretty creek bottoms to the steep rimrock cliffs. Willow, bur oak, birch and ponderosa pine trees grow in the riparian areas and provide wonderful wildlife cover. Pine, quaking aspen and bur oak line the hillsides and draws. The higher elevations offer long range views toward Devils tower, the Missouri Buttes and the surrounding hills. A rugged rimrock wall lines the hilltop with the creek below. A climb to the top of the hill offers a view overlooking the creek and across the valley, which makes the climb worth the effort. The elevation is in the range of 5,340 to 5,700 feet.

Water: A pristine stream winds through the valley and offers an excellent water source for a variety of wildlife. The North Fork of Miller Creek flows from east to west through the middle of the property for approximately 3/4 of a mile.

Covenants: The property does not have covenants.

Wildlife: The natural water source together with the brush cover and variety of browse provides a great combination that invites many species of wildlife. Evidence of elk abounds on the property, especially in the higher hilltops that overlook the valley. The property is in a general elk hunt area.

Deer, turkey, coyote, mountain lion, fox, bobcat, hawks and eagles are also in the territory.

Recreation: The outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy having direct access to the Black Hills National Forest. A small parcel of National Forest joins the southwest side of the property and the northeast portion joins thousands and thousands of acres of National Forest lands in the Bear Lodge Mountains. Nearby destinations include Reuter Campground, Cook Lake and Warren Peak. Northeastern Wyoming and the Black Hills area are a year-round recreational playground.
